OC ID Verification is the main authentication mechanism used in Campus Arc to ensure that every user has a unique, secure, and decentralized identity.
It is introduced by Open Campus andintegrated with EDU Chain, allowing users to verify their identities without relying on traditional centralized systems.
2. Purpose of OC ID Verification
- Ensures that each user has a verified identity within the Campus Arc ecosystem.
- Provides a secure and decentralized authentication system.
- Prevents duplicate accounts and fraudulent activities.
- Allows users to maintain control over their credentials without third-party interference.
3. How OC ID Verification Works
3.1. OC ID and Campus Arc Account Creation
Users create or verify their OC ID before creating their Campus Arc profile.
After creating their profile, users can use their OC ID to create their Campus Arc account or login to their Campus Arc account.
A user who has an OC ID possesses its own unique username ends with .edu, e.g., johndoe.edu, which acts as their decentralized identity.
3.2. Identity Verification
Users must complete the verification process by connecting their wallet address or verifying their email address to verify their OC ID.
3.3. Decentralized Authentication
Once verified, OC ID is stored and used for authentication throughout the Campus Arc ecosystem as the unique identifier for each user, allowing seamless authentication without the need for traditional username-password systems.

5. Troubleshooting and Support
5.1. Common Issues

- Duplicate OC ID: If the OC ID is already in use, you should try to create a different OC ID. If you think you are the rightful owner of the OC ID, please contact us.
